The ATO requires declarations for certain benefit types — including car benefits (confirming the percentage of private versus business use), expense payment benefits (confirming the business purpose), and housing benefits. Declarations must be retained by the employer for five years. In ChangeGPS FBT, employee declarations are generated in Step 4 — Preview. After reviewing the FBT return summary, select Generate Declarations to produce the declaration documents for each employee who requires one. These can be exported as PDF or Word files and sent to employees for signature.
