Can I override the calculated risk zone in ChangeGPS Section100A?

An overview of Section 100A risk zone overrides in ChangeGPS, covering appropriate use, professional judgement, and audit trail documentation.

Yes. ChangeGPS Section 100A allows you to override the automatically calculated risk zone for any beneficiary where your professional judgement differs from the app's result. To override, select Override in the Risk Assessment step (Step 3) and choose the risk zone you believe applies, then enter an explanation for the override. The override and your explanation are recorded in the Risk History audit trail, which provides a contemporaneous record of your analysis. Overrides should be used where you have additional legal or tax advice, specific factual circumstances not captured by the questionnaire, or where the arrangement has features that the standard decision tree does not fully account for. The override does not affect the tax calculations — only the displayed risk zone and the content of the generated report.
