Progress is the ChangeGPS Annual Tax Review app. It enables accountants to produce a comprehensive annual tax review document for clients — capturing multi-year income, deductions, and tax position data across all entities in the group, comparing year-over-year performance, documenting tax saving ideas and issues, building a meeting agenda, and generating a professional review report for delivery to the client.
Progress is available in Australia.
What Progress does
Progress captures tax position data across multiple financial years and up to five entity types — Individual, Company, Trust, Partnership, and Sole Trader — in a single structured review.
The app generates visual charts comparing income, tax, and key metrics year over year, making it easy to present the client's progress at a glance.
Progress includes an ATO benchmarking picker to compare the client's financial ratios against ATO benchmarks for their industry.
Tax saving ideas and issues or recommendations are documented per entity and carried through to the final report and meeting agenda.
A drag-and-drop meeting agenda builder pre-populates default agenda items and allows you to customise the meeting structure with rich text notes.
The completed annual tax review document is exported as a professional PDF or Word report for client delivery.
Who should use Progress
Progress is designed for accountants and tax advisors who conduct annual tax review meetings with their clients. It is relevant for any client where the practice wants to present a structured, documented review of the client's tax position — comparing the current year to prior years, identifying opportunities and issues, and agreeing on actions for the year ahead.
Progress is particularly valuable for client-facing advisory practices that want to differentiate their service through structured, professional annual review documentation.

How Progress fits into ChangeGPS
Tax Plan — The annual tax review provides the context for the current year's Tax Plan. Data entered in Progress (income, deductions, tax position) informs the planning scenarios in Tax Plan.
Action Meeting — The meeting agenda built in Progress Step 4 can be used as the basis for an Action Meeting to capture and track the actions agreed during the annual review.
Division 7A — The Div7A Loans section in Progress captures outstanding Division 7A loan details that should be reviewed each year.
