Optional blocks are sections of a letter template that may or may not be relevant depending on the client's circumstances. Template authors include optional blocks where the content applies to some clients but not others — for example, a paragraph about superannuation contributions that only applies if the client has not yet reached their concessional cap. In ChangeGPS Letters Merge, optional blocks appear in the Optional Blocks panel in Step 3. Each block has a toggle that allows you to include or exclude it from the final letter. Blocks are on (included) by default if the template author set them as default-selected. Review each optional block before finalising the letter and turn off any that do not apply to this specific client.
